Frequently asked questions

What courses will I take?

The courses you take will be determined by the major/degree you have chosen. Typically, a student will take 5 core courses and 7 major courses. You will have access to all your courses, and you can choose the order in which you would like to take them and work at your own pace. All students must read the entire Bible by the end of the program and attend at least 12 Chapel Services online. In addition, there is a practicum requirement. On the master's and doctoral levels, you will write a thesis in addition to your 12 courses.

What can you offer that I cannot get at other online schools?

ACCREDITATION

A seminary without government influence or oversight - however...
Integrity Seminary, Waxahachie, Texas, has notified the Texas Higher Education
Coordinating Board of its status as a religious postsecondary educational institution
that will only offer degrees in religious studies, designed for individuals pursuing
careers within the Christian Church. The institution will offer degrees in:
• Theology
• Christian Education
• Pastoral Psychology
• Professional Christian Life Coaching
• Christian Ministry
• Divinity
• Christian Leadership and Community Organization
• Global Missions and Cross-cultural Studies.
Because the programs offered by Integrity Seminary are
entirely religious in nature, it falls within the exception for authorization in 19 Texas
Administrative Code § 7.9 implementing H.E.B. Ministries v. Texas Higher Education
Coordinating Board, 235 S.W.3d 627 (2007), and does not require approval of the
Coordinating Board. For religious reasons, Integrity Seminary will not seek accreditation from the Department of Education.
The use of the term “seminary” does not violate Texas Education Code, Chapter 61, or
the THECB’s rules.

There is no exact, definitive number of "legitimate unaccredited" Bible colleges and seminaries, as the category largely operates under religious exemptions within states. However, estimates suggest that thousands of such institutions operate in the United States, ranging from highly rigorous theological seminaries to small, church-based Bible institutes. These institutions frequently cite First Amendment rights to operate without government oversight. They are common in Baptist, Reformed, nondenominational, Missionary agency/organizations, and some Charismatic traditions, often focusing on ministerial training over academic credentials. Why Integrity Seminary has willfully chosen to forego Government Agency Accreditation:

Integrity Seminary is a certified member of the AICCS, Association of Independent Christian Colleges and Seminaries, the second largest non-governmental accrediting agency in the world, with over 1000 member colleges, universities, and seminaries. All of which recognize and accept one another's credits, courses, and degrees. 
Deciding to forgo government accreditation is a significant choice for a Biblical seminary, especially given prospective students' desire for recognized credentials. Here are ten reasons that support our decision :

1. **Mission-Driven Focus**: The primary mission of the seminary is to provide a biblically faithful education rather than to meet the often secular standards imposed by government accreditation bodies. This focus ensures that the curriculum remains true to its theological and Biblical convictions without compromising on spiritual integrity.
2. **Flexibility in Curriculum**: Without the constraints of accreditation requirements, the seminary can design its curriculum more freely. This flexibility allows for innovative courses and adaptations to address contemporary issues facing the church and society, something that government accreditation can sometimes hinder.
3. **Emphasis on Practical Training**: The seminary prioritizes experiential learning and hands-on ministry training over traditional academic credentials. This approach can lead to more effective ministry preparation by focusing on real-world applications unbound by accreditation standards.
4. **Cost-Effectiveness**: Accreditation can involve significant fees and administrative costs. By opting out, the seminary potentially reduces tuition for students, making biblical education more accessible to a broader range of individuals. Typically, leaving students deeply in debt upon graduation. The national average is well over $30,000 at $400 or more a month for up to 10 years. Integrity Seminary is able to provide an entire degree for under $5000 or as low as $133 a month for up to 2 years. Students pay as they go and graduate debt-free.

Important Notice: Integrity Seminary recommends that prospective students carefully investigate any unaccredited school, as their quality can vary dramatically from excellent to non-existent ("degree mills"), while at the same time, as with  Integrity Seminary, it sets us apart as the most excellent choice. 

How can I choose my courses?

We offer a preset curriculum for each degree/major on the bachelors and masters levels. Doctoral students are allowed to choose the courses they wish to take from the list of available courses in their major. However if you need any advice or clarifications, we are at your disposal at any time. We want make you take a course you have already mastered somewhere else. 

What is the statement of faith?

THE HOLY SCRIPTURES
We believe the Bible is God-inspired (2 Timothy 3:16,17).
THE ETERNAL GODHEAD
We believe God is Triune: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14).
THE FALL OF MAN
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but that by voluntary disobedience he fell from perfection (Romans 5:12).
THE PLAN OF SALVATION
We believe that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, signing the pardon of all who believe on Him (John 3:16; Romans 5:8).
SALVATION THROUGH GRACE
We believe that we have no righteousness and must come to God pleading the righteousness of Christ (Ephesians 2:8).
REPENTANCE AND ACCEPTANCE
We believe that upon sincere repentance, and a whole-hearted acceptance of Christ, we are justified before God (I John 1:9).
THE NEW BIRTH
We believe that the change which takes place in the heart and life at conversion is a very real one (2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20).
DAILY CHRISTIAN LIVING
We believe that it is the will of God that we be sanctified daily, growing constantly in the faith (Hebrews 6:1).
BAPTISM AND THE LORD’S SUPPER
We believe that baptism by immersion is an outward sign of an inward work (Matt. 28:19). We believe in the commemoration of the Lord’s Supper by the symbolic use of the bread and juice of the vine (I Corinthians 11:24, 25).
BAPTISM WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Baptism with the Holy Spirit is to endue the believer with power; and that His incoming is after the same manner as in Bible days (Acts 2:4).
THE SPIRIT-FILLED LIFE
We believe that it is the will of God that we walk in the Spirit daily (Ephesians 4:30-32).
THE GIFTS AND FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit has gifts to bestow upon the Christian; and that we should show spiritual fruit as evidence of a Spirit-filled life (I Corinthians 12:1-11; Galatians 5:22).
MODERATION
We believe that the experience and daily walk of the believer should never lead him into extremes of fanaticism (Philippians 4:5).
DIVINE HEALING
We believe that divine healing is the power of Christ to heal the physically sick in answer to the prayer of faith (James 5:14-16).
THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
We believe that the second coming of Christ is personal and imminent (I Thessalonians 4:16, 17).
CHURCH RELATIONSHIP
We believe it is our sacred duty to identify ourselves with the visible Body of Christ (Acts 16:5; Hebrews 10:25).
CIVIL GOVERNMENT
We believe that rulers should be upheld at all times except in things opposed to the will of God (Romans 13:1-5).
THE FINAL JUDGEMENT
We believe that all shall stand some day before the judgement seat of God, and there receive eternal life or death (2 Corinthians 5:10).
HEAVEN
We believe that Heaven is the glorious eternal home of born-again believers (John 14:1-3; Revelation 7:15-17).
